A&E acquires, operates, improves and manages the properties, and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City.
Acount Receivable Associate
Responsibilities:
oResolve resident's inquiries related to billing and collections.
Maintain a call log.
Monitor daily rent deposits.
Review Credit Card, ACH, and Lockbox deposits.
Scan resident's checks and coordinate data entry with our team in India.
Control accuracy of payments applied.
Monitor, research, and finalize bank reconciliation for Rental cash accounts.
Responsible for revenue end of the month adjustments.
Resolve inquiries related to Revenue and Security Deposit liability for Asset Management, Accounting, Legal Department, India team, and auditors.
Coordinate resident's accounts adjustments with our Legal team, renewals, leasing, and maintenance teams.
Responsible for billing MCI rent increases and provide rent variances reports to Asset management.
Perform Arrears, Billing, and Collection analysis.
Ensure monthly over 90-day balances, and annual bad debt is maintained at an acceptable level.
Track 90-day receivables to ensure all monies are collected on time.
Monitor changes in Section 8, SCRIE and DRIE rent share and update our records accordingly.
Maintain a close relationship with NYCHA Section 8, HPD Section 8, DHCR Section 8, DSS, SCRIE, DRIE, and independent housing programs.
Resolve payment inquiries and pursue collections.
Coordinate with our maintenance team repairs for section 8 recipients to guarantee payments from government agencies.
Responsible for monthly billing of residential and commercial units.
Coordinate the billing process with our team in India, ClickPay, and GSB.
Maintain a relationship with Capital One Bank, Signature Bank, Bank United, and M&T Bank.
Coordinate with the bank the resolution of issues related to rental and security deposit bank accounts.
Account Receivable Associate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
At least one year of experience in Accounts Receivable or Bookkeeping.
An excellent understanding of computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as knowledge of general accounting theories and guidelines.
Strong familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
Ability to perform basic and higher mathematical calculations.
Ability to work as a team player and promote a cooperative work atmosphere.
Strong ability to communicate with diverse groups of customers, both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
